What's New in Handball Tracker — March 2026
This update focuses on two things: making the promotional website show the real product, and making every drill in the library more useful for coaches.
Redesigned Promotional Website
The homepage and features page now show real screenshots from the app instead of placeholder graphics. The hero section has been rebuilt with a two-column layout featuring an actual screenshot of the court tracking view, tilted in a browser frame mockup.
A new "See the app in action" section displays three full-size screenshots — live match tracking, player statistics, and match history — so visitors can see exactly what they'll get before signing up.
The features page wraps each screenshot in a browser-frame mockup with a subtle hover shine effect. All animations respect the user's reduced-motion preferences.
Drill Content Upgrade — All 156 Drills
Every drill in the library has been reviewed and expanded with three new content sections:
- Common Mistakes — Typical errors coaches should watch for, with specific corrections. For example: "Players cutting corners on the weave — insist on full extension at each passing point."
- Progressions — Step-by-step ways to increase difficulty once the team masters the base drill. Start simple, build toward match intensity.
- Equipment Lists — Exactly what you need to set up each drill: cones, balls, bibs, goals, or just an open court.
This applies to all 9 categories: warm-up, shooting, passing, defense, goalkeeping, fast-break, set-plays, conditioning, and team tactics. No drill was left untouched.
Animated Instruction Sync
When viewing a drill, the written instructions now highlight in sync with the court animation. As players move on the animated court, the corresponding instruction step lights up with an amber accent and auto-scrolls into view.
It also works the other way — click any instruction step and the animation jumps to that moment. This makes it much easier to understand complex drills where multiple players move at the same time.
Clearer Coaching Instructions
All 156 drill instructions have been rewritten from scratch to narrate the animation step by step. Each instruction now uses clear action verbs, references specific player labels (P1, P2, etc.), and describes court positions so coaches can follow along even without watching the animation.
Before: vague descriptions like "Players pass the ball around."
After: "P1 passes to P2 at the center line. P2 drives right and passes to P3 on the wing. P3 shoots from 7 meters."
The rewritten instructions make every drill usable both as a visual animation and as a standalone text guide that coaches can read on the sideline.
