Fokuspunkter

  • Drive off both legs simultaneously for maximum vertical height — a one-foot push-off loses elevation
  • Release the ball at the absolute peak of the jump, not on the way up or on the way down
  • Keep the core tight through the jump and release; a relaxed torso reduces throwing power and accuracy
  • Absorb the landing with bent knees — stiff-legged landings are an injury risk on repeated reps
  • The throwing arm should be loaded and ready before the jump — do not start loading in the air

Typiske fejl

  • Pushing off one foot instead of both legs, losing vertical height on the jump
  • Releasing the ball on the way up or down instead of at the absolute peak
  • Starting to load the throwing arm in the air instead of having it ready before takeoff
  • Landing stiff-legged, creating injury risk on repeated repetitions
