Instructions
- 1LB and RB step forward simultaneously, tightening the vertical stack formation
- 2CB passes to LB, who one-touches the ball to PV at the center of the stack
- 3CB cuts explosively from the stack toward the 6m line on the left side
- 4PV relays the ball immediately to RB, maintaining the rapid passing tempo
- 5RB delivers a leading pass to the cutting CB arriving near the shooting zone
- 6CB catches in stride and releases a jump shot before the stacked defense can react
Coaching Points
- Each player in the stack starts their cut as the ball leaves the passer's hand, not after
- PV must relay the ball in one touch — holding breaks the tempo the stack depends on
- CB's cut off the stack must be explosive, not a jog — sell the move with speed
- Maintain tight vertical spacing in the stack; too much gap gives defenders room to slide
- After the pass sequence, the shooter must be ready to release immediately on receipt
Common Mistakes
- Players in the stack spread too far apart, giving defenders room to slide between them
- PV holds the ball for two touches instead of relaying in one, breaking the tempo
- CB's cut off the stack is a slow jog instead of an explosive burst
- Players start cutting before the ball leaves the passer's hand, creating offsides or congestion
- The final shooter is not ready to receive, adding a wasted second that lets defense recover
