Instructions
- 1CB starts the wheel by passing to PV at the center, who relays immediately to LB
- 2LB one-touches to LW on the left wing as LW moves into open space near the goal line
- 3LW returns to PV with a quick pass, maintaining the continuous rotation rhythm
- 4PV distributes to RB on the right side as RB pushes forward toward shooting range
- 5RB passes to RW arriving on the right wing in an open position
- 6RW finishes with a standing shot from the wing before the defense recovers
Coaching Points
- Everyone moves simultaneously with the ball — standing still kills the wheel's momentum
- PV acts as the hub: receive, release, and shift position immediately after each touch
- The final shooter must recognize when they are open and call for the ball early
- Pass tempo must be consistent — one slow pass gives the defense time to recover
- Wings relocate to the next open space before they receive, not after
Common Mistakes
- One player stands still while the ball moves, breaking the wheel's continuous rotation
- PV holds the ball for a second touch instead of relaying immediately to the next target
- Pass tempo is inconsistent — one fast pass followed by one slow pass gives defense recovery time
- Wings wait to receive the ball before moving to the next position instead of relocating early
- The final shooter is caught flat-footed and cannot release before the defense adjusts
