Instructions
- 1A1 passes to A2 at center while A2 immediately relays the ball down to A3
- 2A1 cuts diagonally right after passing, filling the upper lane
- 3A3 returns the ball to A1 who has repositioned on the right side
- 4A1 drives on a long weaving run through the center toward goal
- 5A1 finishes with a jump shot from the shooting zone near the right side
Coaching Points
- Triangle spacing must be maintained — no two attackers in the same zone
- Ball moves faster than any defender runs — use quick one-touch passes
- Middle player must scan both sides before receiving — know the next pass before it arrives
- Cutter fills the vacated spot immediately — keep the triangle shape intact
- The shot opportunity comes when the defense collapses to help — trust the system
Common Mistakes
- Triangle shape collapses as players drift toward the ball instead of maintaining spacing
- Passes are too slow — defenders recover between each ball movement
- Players pass to the closest teammate instead of the one with the best angle
- Off-ball players stand still instead of re-positioning to maintain the triangle
- Shot selection is poor — players shoot from bad angles instead of circulating for a better one
