Instructions
- 1P1 passes forward to P3 in the upper line, then cuts diagonally toward center
- 2P3 returns the ball to P1 who has moved to a middle position
- 3P2 drops into the lower channel while P1 sends the ball ahead to P5
- 4P2 passes across to P4 in the lower line, then drives diagonally forward toward center
- 5P4 returns the ball to P2 who feeds it on to P6 at the far station
- 6P6 drives forward toward goal and finishes with a jump shot
Coaching Points
- Alternate calling 'top' or 'cut' to give the passer a clear decision
- Diagonal cuts must be sharp — jog-cuts are easy to defend
- The receiver in the second line must be stationary and ready before the pass arrives
- Maintain consistent spacing between stations throughout the sequence
- The final shot should come without extra dribbles — take it in stride
Common Mistakes
- Diagonal cuts are too shallow — players jog instead of making sharp, decisive movements
- The receiver in the second line is still moving when the pass arrives
- Players call 'go' or 'cut' but do not time the call with the actual movement
- Spacing between stations collapses as players drift toward the ball
- The final player takes extra dribbles instead of shooting in stride
