Instructions
- 1P1 passes to P2 on the upper right and immediately cuts diagonally forward
- 2P2 quickly relays the ball to P3 on the lower side and cuts down toward center
- 3P3 passes to P1 who has arrived on the far right side
- 4P1 drives forward toward the shooting zone at full speed
- 5P1 finishes with a jump shot on goal from the upper right
Coaching Points
- Move immediately after releasing each pass — static players are easy to mark
- Maintain the triangle shape even as positions rotate
- Each cut must be purposeful — move to the open space, not just away from a defender
- Keep passes sharp: flat, chest-height, and on the hands — no looping deliveries
- The final drive is the execution payoff — attack the goal with full commitment
Common Mistakes
- The rotation pattern breaks down after the first or second cut
- Players telegraph their cuts — the direction is obvious before they move
- Spacing collapses as all three players drift toward the ball
- The ball does not keep up with the rotation — passes are too slow
- Players lose track of whose turn it is to cut, creating collisions
