Instructions
- 1S1 drops to the center to set the first screen while S2 positions just behind
- 2BH drives through both screens on a long weaving run toward the far side
- 3S1 rolls upward on a diagonal toward the goal area after BH clears
- 4S2 rolls on a second diagonal path toward the far shooting zone
- 5BH delivers the pass to S1 arriving first in the scoring position
- 6S1 finishes with a jump shot on goal
Coaching Points
- First screen sets; ball handler uses it immediately before the second screen is needed
- Second screen provides insurance — if the defense recovers from the first, use the second
- Ball handler reads in real-time which screen breaks the defender first
- Both screeners roll simultaneously after ball handler clears — force the defense to choose
- Pass to the first roller as they have the inside position near goal
Common Mistakes
- The two screens are set at the same spot instead of staggered, reducing their effectiveness
- Ball handler tries to use both screens at once instead of sequentially
- Second screener is not ready when the ball handler clears the first screen
- Defenders switch cleanly because the screens are too far apart
- The ball handler has already decided their path before reading the defensive reaction
