Instructions

  1. 1LW pushes forward on the upper wing while PV advances near goal simultaneously
  2. 2CB delivers the ball to LW arriving on the upper right side
  3. 3LW passes across to PV who has moved into the high pivot position
  4. 4RB drives forward along the lower side toward the shooting zone
  5. 5PV feeds RB cutting toward the lower goal line
  6. 6RB finishes with a jump shot on goal from the lower right

Coaching Points

  • Mental reset is the goal of the timeout — arrive at the restart calm and clear
  • The pre-planned sequence must be executed exactly as rehearsed — trust the preparation
  • CB holds the ball deliberately at the start — do not rush the initial setup
  • RB shoots on the first genuine opening — waiting for a better chance rarely produces one
  • Regaining momentum requires composure: controlled aggression, not panic

Common Mistakes

  • Players rush the restart instead of executing the pre-planned sequence calmly
  • The initial hold by CB is skipped — the ball is passed before the team is in position
  • LW and PV do not move simultaneously, breaking the triangle formation
  • RB does not shoot on the first opening, waiting for a better chance that never comes
  • Players forget the rehearsed play under the pressure of the match situation
