Instructions
- 1P1 sends a quick pass to P2 positioned on the upper right side
- 2P1 immediately sprints forward on a fast-break cut toward the goal line
- 3P2 feeds the ball to P1 arriving near the central shooting zone
- 4P1 finishes with a jump shot on goal from close range
Coaching Points
- The timing pass to the high-post area requires the runner to call it — do not guess
- P1's cut must be a curved run that keeps the defender on the outside
- Receive facing the goal — catch and shoot in one motion
- If blocked from the high-post, redirect to the wing for an alternative shot
- The close-range finish should use a controlled technique — jump shot or pivot shot
Common Mistakes
- The runner's cut is too straight — they run at the goalkeeper instead of angling to the post
- The timing pass to the high-post area arrives when the runner is not yet in position
- The runner does not call for the ball, making the passer's decision harder
- The finish is rushed — the player shoots before squaring up to the goal
- If blocked from the main cut, the player does not redirect to an alternative angle
