Instructions
- 1P1 sends a one-touch pass to P2 without holding or dribbling
- 2P2 moves toward center after receiving, redirecting to P3 in one touch
- 3P3 continues the flow, one-touching to P4 and moving to center
- 4Pattern continues: P4 to P5, P5 to P6, each moving after passing
- 5P6 completes the cycle by one-touching back to P1
Coaching Points
- Scan to your next receiver before the ball reaches you — pre-decision is the whole point
- Cushion the catch and redirect; don't stop the ball and re-throw, flow through it
- Keep your feet active and your body angled toward the next receiver as you catch
- If you feel you need to dribble, your positioning or timing is off — fix that, not the rule
- Build to maximum speed only when the pattern is clean; sloppy fast is worse than clean slow
Common Mistakes
- Catching the ball and stopping it completely before starting a new throwing motion
- Body facing the passer instead of being pre-angled toward the next receiver
- Flat feet on reception — no active movement to prepare for the redirect
- Sneaking in a dribble to adjust grip instead of flowing through the one-touch
- Looking down at the ball during the catch instead of scanning the next target
