Instructions

  1. 1P1 sends a one-touch pass to P2 without holding or dribbling
  2. 2P2 moves toward center after receiving, redirecting to P3 in one touch
  3. 3P3 continues the flow, one-touching to P4 and moving to center
  4. 4Pattern continues: P4 to P5, P5 to P6, each moving after passing
  5. 5P6 completes the cycle by one-touching back to P1

Coaching Points

  • Scan to your next receiver before the ball reaches you — pre-decision is the whole point
  • Cushion the catch and redirect; don't stop the ball and re-throw, flow through it
  • Keep your feet active and your body angled toward the next receiver as you catch
  • If you feel you need to dribble, your positioning or timing is off — fix that, not the rule
  • Build to maximum speed only when the pattern is clean; sloppy fast is worse than clean slow

Common Mistakes

  • Catching the ball and stopping it completely before starting a new throwing motion
  • Body facing the passer instead of being pre-angled toward the next receiver
  • Flat feet on reception — no active movement to prepare for the redirect
  • Sneaking in a dribble to adjust grip instead of flowing through the one-touch
  • Looking down at the ball during the catch instead of scanning the next target
