Instructions
- 1RW begins cutting toward the right corner as CB sends the ball to LW
- 2LW receives on the left wing and drives toward the 6m line
- 3LW pulls the GK across, then fires a flat cross-court pass to RW
- 4RW arrives at the right corner and catches with momentum
- 5RW shoots immediately with a standing shot into the open corner
Coaching Points
- LW: drive toward the 6m line to pull the GK across before releasing the cross-court pass
- RW: time your cut so you arrive at the corner just as the ball leaves LW's hand
- Cross-court pass must be fast and flat — a slow or looping ball gives the GK time to reset
- Shoot into the open corner left by the GK's shift — don't aim at where they started
- Catch and shoot in one step; stopping to plant kills the scoring advantage
Common Mistakes
- LW releases the cross-court pass too early before pulling the GK far enough across
- Cross-court pass is lobbed instead of flat, giving the goalkeeper time to recover
- RW arrives at the corner too early and has to wait, losing the element of surprise
- Shooting at the near corner where the GK is already positioned after the shift
- RW catches the ball and takes an extra step instead of shooting in one motion
