Instructions
- 1CB sends the ball to RW who advances along the right wing toward 6m
- 2LB moves forward into a high support position near the backcourt
- 3RW passes back to LB as a rhythm touch to shift the defense
- 4RW pivots sharply and cuts inside toward the right corner of the goal
- 5LB delivers a return pass to RW who finishes with a standing corner shot
Coaching Points
- RW: receive on the outside foot to allow a quick pivot without resetting
- Make the back-pass to LB crisp — a weak pass disrupts the timing of the return
- Pivot on the ball of your foot for maximum sharpness on the inside cut
- LB: put the return pass ahead of the RW's cut, not to their current position
- Shoot at the corner immediately on reception — the pivot creates the angle advantage
Common Mistakes
- RW receives on the wrong foot, requiring an extra step to pivot inside
- Back-pass to LB is soft and slow, disrupting the timing of the return pass
- Pivot is too wide and gradual, allowing the defender to recover and follow
- LB delivers the return pass to the RW's current position instead of leading the cut
- RW pauses after receiving the return pass instead of shooting immediately
