1-2-3 Backcourt Combination

A three-pass combination drill where the ball flows LB to CB to RB and back to LB, who finishes with a 9m shot on the run. Trains quick ball movement, spatial awareness, and shooting after dynamic movement.

Instructions

  1. 1LB initiates with sharp pass to CB center
  2. 2CB receives and immediately distributes to RB
  3. 3RB must be ready to receive and redirect quickly
  4. 4RB passes back to LB who cuts toward goal
  5. 5All three players move in fluid sequence
  6. 6LB arrives at 9m line with momentum for shot
  7. 7Focus on timing and smooth ball movement

Coaching Points

  • LB: begin your cut to goal the moment RB touches the ball
  • Every touch should have purpose — scan before you receive
  • RB: redirect the ball in one touch, don't re-grip and re-aim
  • The shooter must arrive at 9m in motion, never stationary
  • Count the passes aloud in training to build automatic rhythm
