Instructions

  1. 1Four players form a circle with P5 observing from the center
  2. 2P1 passes clockwise to P2 who relays to P3
  3. 3P3 continues the circuit passing to P4
  4. 4P4 completes the loop by passing back to P1
  5. 5Repeat the full clockwise circuit, then reverse direction

Coaching Points

  • Catch, set, release in one smooth motion — no fumbling or re-gripping
  • Maintain consistent spacing around the circle — do not drift closer on each pass
  • Eyes up to the next receiver before the ball leaves your hand
  • Build rhythm first clockwise, then challenge the team counter-clockwise
  • Center player keeps low and ready — tracking all passes develops awareness

Common Mistakes

  • Players drift inward, shrinking the circle and reducing pass distance
  • Re-gripping the ball after catching instead of one smooth catch-and-release
  • Passing behind the receiver instead of leading them slightly
  • Center player stands upright and disengages instead of staying active
