Instructions
- 1Four players stand in a line; Ball 1 with P1, Ball 2 with P3
- 2P1 passes right to P2 while P3 passes left to P2 simultaneously
- 3P2 redirects both balls outward to keep them moving
- 4Balls continue travelling in opposite directions along the line
- 5Maintain rhythm and use peripheral vision to track both balls
Coaching Points
- Keep your eyes moving between both balls — peripheral vision is the skill being trained
- Soft hands on every catch — do not stab at the ball
- Call the receiver's name before each pass to prevent mid-line collisions
- If both balls arrive simultaneously, the middle player prioritizes the ball from their left
- Start slow to establish rhythm, then gradually increase passing speed
Common Mistakes
- Players focus on only one ball and lose track of the second
- Passes are too hard at close range causing fumbles
- Middle players panic when both balls arrive at the same time
- Players stop moving their feet and become flat-footed
- No verbal cues leading to ball collisions in the air
