Instructions
- 1P1 delivers a slow, controlled pass to P2 while focusing on a full exhale
- 2P2 passes gently to P3, maintaining relaxed shoulders and steady breathing rhythm
- 3P3 continues the circle pass to P4 with soft, accurate placement into the hands
- 4P4 sends the ball to P5, keeping the tempo deliberately slow for heart rate recovery
- 5P5 completes the circle back to P1, sustaining the calm passing rhythm throughout
Coaching Points
- Breathe out on every release and in on every catch — match your breathing to the ball
- Keep shoulders loose; consciously drop them away from your ears between passes
- Use this time to talk quietly with teammates — build connection while the heart rate drops
- Accuracy still matters even at low speed — soft passes into the hands, not the body
Common Mistakes
- Passing too hard out of habit, keeping the heart rate elevated instead of recovering
- Holding breath or breathing erratically instead of matching breathing to the pass rhythm
- Tensing the shoulders between passes instead of consciously relaxing them
- Zoning out and losing focus on pass accuracy during the cooldown
