Instructions
- 1P1 passes to P3 across the court while walking at a conversational pace
- 2P3 redirects to P2 with a soft one-hand pass, keeping arms loose and swinging naturally
- 3P2 sends the ball to P4 on the opposite side, maintaining a steady rhythm
- 4P4 returns to P1, completing the walking pass line with relaxed shoulders and controlled tempo
Coaching Points
- Walk at a pace that allows a full conversation — if you cannot speak comfortably, slow down
- Pass with one hand only during the walk to maintain a light touch and keep arms loose
- Keep the pass rhythm steady; erratic tempo keeps the nervous system activated
- Let the arms swing naturally on the walk — do not hold them stiff at your sides
Common Mistakes
- Walking too fast, keeping the heart rate elevated instead of allowing recovery
- Tensing the arms and shoulders instead of letting them swing naturally
- Erratic pass timing that prevents the nervous system from settling down
- Stopping communication between players instead of using the walk for team connection
