Instructions
- 1CB outlets to PV; LB and RB sprint wide to stretch two defenders.
- 2PV advances centrally; S1 trails as the extra attacker creating 5v2.
- 3PV passes to LB on the upper wing to move the ball away from D1.
- 4LB delivers a quick pass to S1 cutting through the open lane.
- 5S1 drives deep and fires a cross-court pass to RB on the far side.
- 6RB finishes with a jump shot from inside the 9m line before help arrives.
Coaching Points
- Move the ball to the side where the defender is NOT — force them to chase
- Maximum three passes before the shot; more passes let the defense recover
- One defender cannot guard two attackers — identify which one is open and commit
- The final shot must come from inside the 9m line when you have this advantage
- Finish within four seconds — every second you wait, defensive help closes the gap
Common Mistakes
- Passing the ball to the side where the defender already is instead of away from them
- Making more than three passes and allowing the defense to recover numbers
- Shooting from outside the 9m line when numerical advantage guarantees a closer shot
- Not finishing within four seconds, letting recovering defenders neutralize the advantage
- Attackers clustering instead of spacing to maximise the numerical superiority
