Instructions

  1. 1Arrange players in two lines facing each other, 5-6 meters apart
  2. 2Create three diagonal passing lanes (alternating from left-right lines)
  3. 3Start rapid diagonal passes: P1→P2→P3→P4→P5→P6→P1
  4. 4Players move slightly forward after each pass to maintain distance
  5. 5Increase tempo after first round - aim for 2-second cycles
  6. 6Focus on one-touch passing where possible

Coaching Points

  • Step diagonally into each pass — never throw from a stationary square stance
  • Aim for the receiver's outside hand so they can redirect without resetting
  • Keep the passing lanes sharp and narrow; wide diagonal passes telegraph the direction
  • Maintain consistent spacing — drifting too close removes the drill's purpose
  • Increase tempo only when the previous speed produces zero errors
