Instructions
- 1CB outlets to PV to start the break; LB and RB sprint wide.
- 2PV advances centrally to pull defenders toward the ball.
- 3PV passes to LB on the left wing; T1 trails 8-10 meters behind.
- 4LB drives deep to draw D1; T1 fills the center lane late.
- 5LB passes back to T1 once a defender fully commits to the wing.
- 6T1 catches in stride and finishes with a standing shot inside the 9m line.
Coaching Points
- Call out 'trailer' loudly the moment you enter the scoring zone so wings know to look back
- T1 must arrive to the position still in motion — stopping kills the shooting angle
- Wing players do not pass back until a defender fully commits to them
- The trailer shot is usually the highest percentage — do not pass up an open look
- Stay 8-10 meters behind the break so you enter late and uncovered, not early
Common Mistakes
- Trailer running too close to the primary wave and getting caught in the defensive coverage
- Trailer stopping and becoming stationary before receiving the ball, killing the shot angle
- Wing passing back to the trailer before a defender has fully committed to them
- Trailer not calling out their position, leaving wings unaware of the backpass option
- Trailer arriving too early and being marked before the wing draws defensive commitment
