Instructions
- 1LB leads the break and passes to CB in the center lane.
- 2LB sprints deep along the left sideline; RB mirrors on the right.
- 3CB advances centrally and reads which wing defender commits first.
- 4CB delivers the ball back to LB on the left to attack D1.
- 5LB drives deep; RB supports on the far side in case LB is covered.
- 6LB fires a cross-court pass to RB; RB finishes with a jump shot.
Coaching Points
- LB attacks at full pace to force D1 to commit — hesitation gives defense time to organize
- RB mirrors the LB's run on the opposite side, staying level not ahead
- CB reads both wings continuously and delivers to whichever is open first
- If D1 goes deep to cover LB, LB must shoot before help defense arrives
- The cross-court pass must be thrown in front of RB so they catch in stride
Common Mistakes
- LB hesitating on the drive instead of attacking at full pace to force commitment
- RB running ahead of LB instead of mirroring at the same depth
- CB locking onto one wing instead of reading both options continuously
- Throwing the cross-court pass behind RB, forcing them to slow down and adjust
- LB not shooting when D1 commits deep, waiting for a pass that is not needed
