Players run in waves from sideline to sideline in staggered rows, practicing coordinated group running and spatial awareness across the full court. Builds aerobic capacity and court coverage habits.

Instructions

  1. 1Divide squad into waves of 3 players each
  2. 2First wave runs full court width together
  3. 3Second wave starts when first wave is halfway
  4. 4Players return along opposite sideline
  5. 5Increase pace on the third run
  6. 6Coach controls timing with a clap or whistle

Coaching Points

  • Keep waves tightly together — no straggling
  • Maintain equal spacing between players in each wave
  • Look left and right before crossing the court
