High Knees With Passing

Players jog in place performing high knees while exchanging passes with a partner, combining lower body activation with ball-handling concentration. Ideal mid-warm-up transition before positional drills.

Instructions

  1. 1Pairs stand 4-5m apart facing each other
  2. 2Both players perform continuous high knees in place
  3. 3Exchange passes every 4-5 knee lifts
  4. 4Keep the high-knee rhythm even when catching
  5. 5Continue for 45 seconds then switch to butt kicks
  6. 6Complete 3-4 rounds of 45 seconds each

Coaching Points

  • Knees must reach hip height each rep
  • Catch and pass without breaking the knee rhythm
  • Eyes up — watch the ball, not your feet
