Coaching Points
- Full sprint on approach — do not coast
- Adjust footwork to catch while decelerating
- Return pass before fully stopping
Common Mistakes
- Coasting the last few meters instead of sprinting all the way to the cone
- Stopping completely before catching instead of receiving while decelerating
- Holding the ball too long before returning the pass
- Jogging back at walking pace instead of maintaining active recovery
