Players sprint diagonally across the court in a zigzag pattern, changing direction at each cone or marker. Activates the legs, core, and lateral movement muscles needed for handball.

Instructions

  1. 1Players line up at left sideline
  2. 2Sprint diagonally to the opposite sideline
  3. 3Touch the line and immediately sprint diagonally back
  4. 4Continue zigzag pattern across the full court length
  5. 5Maintain acceleration through each direction change
  6. 6Complete 2-3 full court zigzag runs

Coaching Points

  • Stay low through the turns
  • Plant the outside foot firmly before changing direction
  • Drive with the arms on each sprint
